Liga F got underway this past weekend, as did the Women's German Super Cup, with the WSL and others starting this upcoming week.

Barcelona already took a two-point lead over rivals Real Madrid as the 2025-26 La Liga F season got underway at the weekend. Despite all the troubles off the field, Barcelona ensured they remained united on the field. They scored eight times against newly promoted Alhama CF, a tough welcome to the top flight. Clàudia Pina scored a second-half hat-trick, while Caroline Graham Hansen added a brace.
Their title rivals from last season, Real Madrid, suffered a shock 2-2 draw away to Logroño. It was nearly all three points for the new La Liga F team. However, Signe Bruun rescued a point in the third minute of added time, with a superb header from the Danish international. Las Blancas has taken the lead through Maria Mendez. However, Isabel Corte Peraez and Merle Frohms' own goal gave the home side the lead. Heartbreakingly, they only came away with a point.
To make things worse, their other rivals, Atletico Madrid, won 5-0 at Espanyol, with five different scorers. Sevilla beat Eibar 1-0, and Granada beat Levante 2-1, the only other sides to get maximum points. The other games all finished in a draw.
